I am happy to announce that my illustration show "Hypnotized" has finally started last week ;))
We just had an opening reception this Saturday and I would like to share some of the photos with you!
This is the sign for the event. Pretty hypnotizie, isn't it? ;p
My latest piece "Alice in Wonderland" has three parts.
And there are four ink drawings around the paintings: The Queen, March Hare, Dee and Dum, and another Alice (with cards and roses)
I would put hinges to connect each piece and the side pieces would open like a french door... you know...
I wanted to present this Alice in the frame at this show, but I was suggested to re-think about the full weight of the piece.
It can't be too heavy... I guess :|
It's always challenging to think about the physics when I have an idea because there is no gravity in my mind! ;p
Anyhow, it will probably be my summer project.
Aaaaand! The other main dish for this show... my monochrome pieces!
I used the largest wall at the cafe to present the whole series.
I am super happy about how they look all together ;)))
Many people liked purple one (Night Sailor), and of course UFP (Unidentified Flying Pizza)!
What is your favorite?
We had awesome live music by Sean Hayashi.
Super super cooooooool...
I also had a little space at the counter table to sell my art prints and buttons.
That was my first time selling prints at my show, and it was fun!
I got to talk to many people ;)))
It was super fun! An ultra magical night!!!
Thanks again to everyone who came to the reception, who helped me, and supported me to make this show happen <3
Also, thanks to you for checking my blog!
So even if you missed the reception, you should still check it out!
Shine is located on 14th and E in downtown Sacramento.
Here is their web page for you. http://shinesacramento.com/
