Howdie friends!
I have a news for you. Last Christmas, I bought myself something..
Those new paints! I always wanted to try professional paints, but never had a gut to buy them.
You know.. they are just way over my budget and stuff.
Mr. J and his classmate talked me into it. I'm so glad they did ;q
These paints are expensive for reasons, my friends!
The colors are not only vibrant, but also easy to be blended on a canvas.
Super easy to make shadow on the characters.
I didn't have any frustration while applying these paints.
sooooooo good, but baaaad for my walet ;q
Anyhow, it was super cold in California last month. It was kinda unusual.
I felt like it should be snowing. (I so wished!)
So I came up with this sketch.
My initial sketch was a bit different from final one.
I like winter, but it was just too cold.. you know.. the guy kept on tightening himself up I guess ;q
It was interesting because I never had direct influence from weather.
Also, this sketch made me sad..
All the snowmen are sinking and stuff..
But Mr. J made another brilliant comment: the spring (the bird) is taking over the winter!
Why didn't I think of that? ;q
Anyhow, after that I was excited to finish this piece, and I really like how it came out ;)))
