Peaches

Moving to the country, gonna eat a lot of peaches...
Moving to the country, gonna eat me a lot of peaches...

My latest piece is inspired by my favorite song, "Peaches."
(Oh, I never knew there was ninja involved in this music video ;q Ha-ha)



I have heard this song many times, and have always loved it.
How juicy it sounds... The yumminess of peaches... It always made me want a peach or four ;q
But I never thought about making a piece after the song until one day..
One day, I actually tried to listen what they are saying..
Then, I saw this image in my head!
A guy floating in the air, wondering, hoping to find his dream land, the land full of peaches!

So I sketched this out. (left)

I didn't quite feel right about the direction he is facing, so turned him around. (right)

I was super excited about the idea, but for some reason, I was stuck for a while...
It took me forever to finish it :|

I just wasn't sure if it was working out at all..

But I kinda forced myself to finish up the fabric parts and finally it started looking better ;))

And ta-da! Here is the finished piece! Yay! I did it! ;q

I like how it came out after all ;))
I feel like I was lost and wandering around with him.
He looks still anxious, but he will get through the journey. Just like I did!

I don't know why I got stuck for a while, maybe I'm not used to doing a piece inspired by a song?
...Or maybe I just got lazy ;q
Anyhow, even after my difficult time, I still say it was a fun project!
